There is currently a vacancy on Leigh-on-Sea Town Council for the Highlands Ward and as the time limit has passed for electors in that ward to call an election, the vacancy will now be filled by co-option at a Council meeting. The co-opted Councillor will serve until the next ordinary election in May 2023.
Any person over 18 who is a citizen of the UK, the EU or the Commonwealth can be a Councillor if they are an elector in, work in, live in or live within 3 miles of the Town Council boundary during the 12 months preceding the day of their nomination.
Anyone who is interested is invited to apply, in writing, to the Town Clerk, Leigh-on-Sea Town Council, 71-73 Elm Road, SS9 1SP or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. In the application, please identify any particular interests, qualifications or relevant experience and confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria.
